Emerald Isle Home Inspections perform inspections using the standards of practice and code of ethics of The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).

Buying a home will probably be the biggest investment of your life. As a result of this, it is imperative that the home you are buying suits you and your family’s needs, is safe to live in and has no major problems that could be expensive to fix. This is why it is essential to have your potential home inspected by a licensed home inspector.

I encourage all clients to participate during the inspection and feel free to ask me any questions that they may have. This can be a very stressful time especially for first time buyers. So I make it an enjoyable, stress free, comprehensive and informative experience. At any time after an inspection is performed, please feel free to call me with any questions you may have. I will be more than happy to assist you in any way I can, and as long as I don’t have to physically perform any tasks all advice is FREE.

For anyone trying to sell their home at any time, or especially when the property market may be unstable, it would be beneficial to have a pre-inspection preformed. Knowing what a buyers inspector is going to see ahead of time, prepares you to make any repairs or improvements that will maximize your selling potential, and make for a quicker, easier sale.

The property inspection report I use is a combination of checklist and narrative reporting. The reports are easy to understand and have a numerical key, which determines what needs further evaluation or repair. I also include in every report a booklet on how to maintain your home.
